At a recent meeting of IWA Board of Directors, Ezio Ferin, Chairman of the Techno 293 Class, was installed as the 2006 IWA President. As the IWA enters its sixth year a major objective set by the Board is the continued development of 'junior windsurfing'. Supplementing established racing programmes from Mistral Junior One Design and Formula classes, Techno 293 is seen as the 'Optimist' for windsurfing. Ezio commented: "a new class for a new era in the development of competitive windsurfing - I am relishing the challenge of developing this class into a truly worldwide base for our sport."
