Racing is essencial, fun is important. But most important for all is the safety of all 338 kids here. For that BIC Techno 293 One design class is using very sophisticated electronic systems to make sure at the end of each day all are back ashore safe. Light wind kept most of the competitors on the beach today with only U17 boys racing. All that and much more in this video.

They are all fighters because if you want to achieve something in sport it takes time and dedication. Like Alexander Lim who improved a lot in past few years or Dana Kosyak who not only fights hard during the days on water, but also sings. All about that and much more in this video.

Czech Super Cup 2017
Posted On:  09/09/2017 10:19:39

The numbers of Czech Bic Techno boys and girls are growing every year since 2015 when we established this class in the Czech Republic and started with the Super Cup series. This year 48 young competitors took part on the event that was held from 1st to 3rd September 2017 at Nove Mlyny lake.

The event was also declared as the Czech Bic Techno Championship. There were also 32 participants in Raceboard class and 9 in Formula. Most foreign competitors came from Slovakia, then from Hungary and there were French too (on the way to the Raceboard Europeans).

First race on Friday started with light wind. The conditions got better in the second race and planing was possible. Raceboards had finished another one race. Karolina Berankova (SVK-11) was in the lead in Techno and Petr Kucera junior dominated in Raceboard. Formulas later sailed a total of 5 races. There was rain with storms around, so no more races were started that day.

On Sunday the wind of 5 m/s strength came from the north and it was shifting, so it was not easy to choose the right way. It got better in the afternoon. Karolina again won all races in Techno.

On Saturday the temperature dropped down. There was rain, but wind was good, blowing from NW. The conditions were planing. This time Balint Morvai (HUN 9) won all three races.

First place overall belongs to Karolina Berankova, followed by Balint Morvai and her cousin Lenka Berankova. In future Czech competitors have still something to learn to sail better than their friends from Slovakia or Hungary. Super Cup is getting more popular each year, we can hope that this trend will continue in following years.
