We were unlucky! Not enough wind to complete a championship series; with only 2 races completed. However the race organisation was good and the race committee worked hard to deliver the championship. There were positives: opting to run a Europeans and Worlds in Europe in 2007 did not deter entries: 87 competitors from 7 countries - ESP, FRA, GBR, GER, ITA, NED & POL. Good to see a strong presence once again, in junior racing, from NED where theTechno class is really taking off; a dedicated group of enthusiastic young guys leading them.For full results go to: http://www.fav.es/nyr/en/results.htmlFormentera meeting. An open meeting for sailors, parents and coaches was held. Asier Fernandez, the event organiser, brought a power point presentation and answered questions from the floor. He was accompanied by the mayor of the island council, and representatives from Sport and Tourism departments. A pre NoR will be published very soon, with final NoR planned for the end of February at the very latest. | |
