Many thanks to all those that have confirmed their orders for the new One Design Rigs. The initial stock allocation has been taken up and these rigs are now being distributed. The current balance of forward orders will be distributed, as scheduled, during early April 2008.
Bic Sport are committed to ensuring that all competitors wishing to compete in the Sopot World Championships in August have the opportunity to prepare fully on the new rigs. If you have not yet placed an order for either a 7.8 or 6.8 OD rig you should do so now. In addition, to minimise the financial impact of investing in new rigs for the 2008 championships, the Committee have decided that "change down" rigs will be unaffected by the One Design ruling, and current class rules will apply.
For example, the change down sail for the 7.8 (under 17) division will be any sail from the 6.8 Approved Rig list. Bic Sport have a worldwide distributor network and all distributors are aware of the agreement and the pricing of Techno 293 rigs. All orders should be via your national distributor; you can find a "locater" on the BicSport website . The Notice of Race for the World Championship will be published shortly.
